Feb. 29th, 2004 01:30 ami completely slept through the fact that john kerry was in my hood today.
'tis a pity.
i didnt see anything around posted. he was literally BLOCKS from where i live. had i actually left the house today, i migh have seen the activity, i suppose.
i doubt i would have gone though.
the fox affiliate pointed out most of the audience wasn't from the neighborhood. it's a largely african american and caribbean american population. a reputation for being ghetto-ish. (for those with minneapolitan ties, think phillips-y) the neighborhood they cited is largely white and affluent (think uptown-y). which is interesting, in a way, because i have to wonder why more promotion wasn't done to bring in people who actually live around here. i know i can live in a box sometimes, but still.
this, by the way, is the same fox affiliate that informed me my theory of bush already having captured bin laden is false. that bin laden is, in fact, still roaming the earth. and not, as theorized, in a bunker somewhere while bushie waits for election day to creep closer.
i wonder if the announcement has anything to do with the fact that liberal sites like buzzflash were having a field day with the original iranian newstory.
