Why is he named Benedict? I'm sure that some of the gazillion recent articles about papacy explain it, but I really don't have the stomach to even skim them right now.

I thought about Arnold. I also remembered that my grandma had some extra first name that she may or not have received when she was christened or confirmed or something. I think it was Marie.
I would've told them to try again if they gave me Benedict (irregardless of gender).
