rkti've noticed a number of places/friends here posting "where to donate". find your own damn link, but if you plan on donating to the red cross and haven't already done so, PLEASE make it to the international red cross/crescent.
and no, this isn't just pettiness regarding their abandonment of the homeless (oops! not a disaster!) and me a month or so before my raise.
to make a long story short, american red cross has a HUGE tendency to apply their policies based on american politics.
and they like to play with their books. i really don't believe they learned a damn thing from the 9-11 fiasco.
this isn't meant to make anyone feel bad. just a note for future reference.
