rkti feel like a little kid. it's snowing and i'm uber happy.
granted, i'm surrounded by folk grumbling about the weather. and, once it hits above 79 or so, i will probably be in that grumbling camp.
right now, however, i cannot wait to leave work and frolick.
so, i went and did my punk rawk thing last night. at first, i was surprised by the paltryness of the crowd. then, i reailzed i'd actually managed to get there at show time, and not halfway through. usually, i take my sweetess time and show up sometime before the final act. but, i've been burned before by employing such tactics. i would have been burned this time too, actually, and missed a band i did want to see, if i'd waited.
anyway, yeah, the crowd was small at first. and i was like, daaang, this is newfuhlingyork, and this is all that show up?
it filled as the night wore on.
it was also a sunday, which it took me a bit to realize actually meant something.
oh, and something else was wrong. i could actually breathe. this was most unnatural for me. i'd kinda' grown conditioned to coming home with tar-covered lungs.
so, yeah, it was good. i had fun. and it reminded me what i'd been missing these long, long months.
i also chatted with a friend who moved back to france before i moved here. that was good. it's been eons. and the woman knows how to give me a hard time. which may or may not be good. they dont have girl scout cookies there. (maybe because they don’t have girl scouts?) they dont have a lot of things there. . .maybe i could open up a girl scout cookie store.
