yes. nov 2, 2004 is voting day. it is a day that will live in infamy. i'll use my psychic abilities to tell you that right now.
unless you have a justifable reason to not vote (and not believing in voting does count as a justifiable reason. so long as this disbelief isn't based on last-minute laziness,) you really should vote. and if you live in a same-day registration state, you Really should vote. fuck the presidential "election", go for the little guys/gals.
i've been feeling left out. nobody seems to care for my cell-phone based vote, which is fine. because i'd have to kick somebody's ass for wasting my precious mintues. but, damn, word on the street is that voters in swinging minnesota could get rides to the booths? where were these rides back in my day? i had to walk up hill 6 miles, both ways in the snow to get to my station. was i not a voter even then?
but seriously folks, contrary to popular rumors, you won't die if you don't vote. really. i promise. oh, sure, you might fail to vote and then die soon after, but trust me, the two are mutually exclusive. (some people have already voted and they STILL died. how 'bout thems apples?) and, contrary to what the national association of state boards of education would want you to think, you won't be magically transformed into a Bad Citizen, either. i gua-ran-tee it.

Then what's the fucking point? I'll still receive my get-out-of-jail-free card when I submit a ballot with the correct candidates selected, right?
