rkti swear, if the board of elections fuck ups keep me from voting in november, i might have to go postal.
even though there are many that will say my presidential vote won't matter, anyway (you know, because i'm not voting for bushie or kerry... which, apparently, means i'm actually voting forkerry bushie....ok.... that's another rant.... not today.....) i'm still pissed.
i moved to brooklyn (from manhattan, where i did register and vote) just over a year ago. i dwadled too long to change my address, so i couldn't vote here. earlier this week, i got a letter (that said it was the "second" letter, news to me) welcoming me as a "new" voter and telling me they need some documents, or i can't vote.
i called today to tell them that, uh, i'm not a "new" voter. i've already voted in nyc, just not brooklyn. what the hell?
the woman who answered the phone, said she'd have someone get back to me.
that was about 1130am.
still no response.
i do not want to have to keep pounding down the doors of the election people. why, oh why, can't new york be hip and modern like minnesota and wisconsin and just let me do what i have to do on election day? why must those cornfed states be so progressive? is it in the corn? what?
ok. i guess i'm done with today's whine.
now to go and consume some cheese that will only make me sick and lead to more whining.
