a new option arises

rktso im being told i have an opportunity to stay within this damn company and transfer to a new position starting next month.
rather than stay a caseworker and pester my residents to be back by curfew and argue with public assistance officials all day, i could become a vocational specialist, directly linking the ladies to jobs, schools, etc.*
in the process, i will also end up removing myself from the toxic office in which i presently reside. i know i'll get along ok with my new office mate, even if he is convinced someday i'll end up wanting kids.
i don’t know. maybe i'm just looking for an excuse to stay. the benefits are far from all that. i guess the best is the 401k matching thing. but it would require minimal effort on my part. however, trying my hand as a vocational specialist could be really great for diversifying my experience and be a good bonus for me should i opt to go with high school guidance counselor for my life career. (i'm kind of on the fence still with that.) since this new position is pretty much guidance counseling for those in the program who want it, it could give me better insight and clear some things up for me..
i could just try for something with the department of education instead. acs (child protection, etc.) will definitely hire me, but i don’t know if the city benefits are worth the potential stress.
this new position would also give me free reign to use the internet at all times without having to worry about Getting Caught.
