the move thing
Jun. 29th, 2003 09:09 pmit looks like im going with place b.
nevermind what place a was. i'm depressed i cant have it. well, i could have it, but then i'd have to move again in september.
it was a bit of walk from the train in a "sketchy" neighborhood, anyway. not so good for visitors.
place b. is nice. 2 living rooms. my own faux fireplace. street noise to help me sleep. the back of the apartment has a garden view. greenness.
i dont think im near a cemetary for a change.
and no real closet. so i'm back to getting one of those zipup closets.
train is right down the street. but it's the g train.
not exactly the most popular or well known of characters. but it gets the job done.
so, at least i think i have that taken care of. i need to be sure i'm "picked". i think im doing it the weekend of the 25th.
with the help of the fam, under the contingency i do the statute thing....
it's not that i don't have respect for it. i do. and the whole immigration thing. wonderful. but 1)-. it costs money to get there i wouldnt mind paying to see it. but, for some reason, i have decided its sacrilege to have to pay to get there..
2). what liberty is it supposed to be representing? especially for immigrants? uh, can we say the arab american registry, boys and girls?
but i digress.
so, we shall see what we shall see.

Of course there is a user fee. Costs must be taken care of. (Boat, personal on boat, gas/upkeep) If it were "free" just means it would come from raising taxes or cutting other areas.
Simple economics.
