rktDear NYPD:
Let me just say "Thank You!" for waking me up in the wee hours of the morning on Monday by sending a hellicopter down my way. That noise is just awesome to wake up to! I can't believe anyone could possibly become cross over being given the opportunity to wake up before their alarm.
And I'm sure it had nothing at all to do with racial profiling for the West Indian Day Parade. You folks aren't like that. More likely than not, it was a new pilot who was trying to get in some air time.
Also, thank you for giving me the opportunity to get exercize by walking all over my neighborhood as you redirected me significantly out my way.
Plus, thank you for giving me the chance to see whole new parts of Brooklyn due to your traffic re-routing going deeper into Brooklyn, over a mile away, even (but not going out of Brooklyn, LOL! That was quite the coincidence, I'm sure!) I bet nobody got upset just from being all pent up like that.
And all I wanted to do was hit up Coney Island after a day at work. Thanks to you, I had quite a day of adventure!

PS I am can look forward to a repeat of this experiece in 2 weeks for the Brooklyn Book Festival, right!?!!
