so, remember how i'm staying in nyc for the new year?
well, my friend and i decided to cash in on her mega-passes for the natural history museum. free admission PLUS four attractions. yayZ1
by the time our assess get there, much of the attractions are sold out and the line is mad long.
also, there are screaming children my head just isn't in the mood for.
we wander much. catch part of the almodovar film fest. wander by foot some more. catch some thai food*. wander some more. there's some gray's papaya in there. and tolerating the noise making of many people.
and where do we end up? (due in no small part to not being able to locate an open station at rockefeller)-
TIMES SQUARE.
jesus. i swear, there are times i hate myself for thinking that my asocialism/minor agoraphobia and nyc could co-exist, and last night was one of them.
because the station was Packed, i decided to take the express train up a stop with the intent of transferring back down town. so i squeezed into the train and did.
only for such to be nothing as the return train down lacked the packness.
so, whatever. i came home. took a muscle relaxant (which has the 'wonderful' side effect of also loosening the muscles in my vocal cords, apparently, thus making me far more open of a person than i am on any other non-medicated night.)
today, wereturn to the museum with the intent to get more bang for our imaganiary buck at the museum. see some more almodovar. find some party to crash - AWAY FROM TIMES SQUARE. just eventually leave our respective homes and wander the lower east side. but still partying.
so, yeah. be safe, happy, and well today and all next year.
