no kidding. eventhough the crappy air conditioner my landlady installed is leaking again i plugged the cracks in the open spaces and left it on again for the second day even while i'm out. generally i like to turn it off when i leave because i won't be benefitting from it but you don't know how happy i was when, after almost fainting in the street on the way home from pet sitting at 10:30PM(!), i came home to a cool and breezy home. plus it keeps the bugs away. but i always put it on low cool. i wish my air conditioner had the economy feature to save energy but it doesn't. anyway...if this weather situation doesn't breed a new interest in protecting our enviornment i don't know what will and we're pretty much screwed. yes, i'm a preachy bastard but honestly when haven't i been? ;)
