okay, so rolling stone felt behoove-ed to rate the 500 best albums of all time.
i know better than to have any faith. but why do i still feel myself disappointed? why, even weeks after first peering at the list, do i still feel the need to grumble? (A: because i'm contrary, damnit. and i feel the need to whine about something today.)

but....the beatles THREE times in the top 10? come on people!
and i'll accept soundtracks as being legit, but greatest hits and compilation albums? again, come on! lets get some originality!

how the hell do you justify putting the mother fucking BEACH BOYS at number 2? before marvin gaye, before the ramones, before michael jackson, hell i object to the beach boys coming before billy joel .

where does prince first rear his pretty little name?
number 72. (purple rain)

long after u2's joshua tree, number 26.

exiling public enemy's fear of a black planet to number 300? AFTER dolly parton.

alanis morrissette (327, jagged little pill SOMEhow is considered a superior album to cheap trick's at budokan (430) and kiss's destroyer (496)

i wash my hands of the entire matter.

oh you poor thing...
