i saw the threepenny opera wednesday. cyndi lauper and alan cumming, how *could* i not go? plus it's a political comedic opera/musical. yayz.

i'm withholding additional commentary, for at least the time being, but will just say it's a great show. i highly encourage anyone with the means/opportunity to see it, to see it. i'm not sure how much longer the original cast will stick around. it just won a tony, so i'm sure they'll keep extending it for a bit.

note: the show is not for the weak of heart, those who can't withstand strobe lighting, or those who object to vulgarity (english or german).

So thats where you've been recently! Not posting to LJ because you've been to a Broadway show a few days ago!
I heart alan cumming. I've seen him multiple times in Cabaret.

lj tires me out more frequently lately. i'm travelling around the internets magically on my carpet, though. 'tis fun. i can give you lessons, if you wish.

i saw cabaret in minneapolis, i have the shot glass to prove it! he was not a member of *that* cast.

Ahh, I've been caught in a magical ride around teh 1nt3rw3b, too. Except that I simultaneously keep open LJ, Facebook, and MySpace while riding.

I saws Cabaret with the original revival cast (including mr. cumming), with Brooke Shields (who, by the way, can't sing or dance or act or look pretty now that she's had three kids - and I'm refering to the bags under her eyes, not her post-preggers pouch - but maybe that was just a bad make-up job?), and with a cast that had noone famous that I can remember, but did leave a nice couple from Wisconsin very suprised that it was, and I quote, "Different from the Liza version". What? Had they not read the book? The book is queer, the play is queer; only Ms. Minnelli herself changed the movie to be unqueer, even though it's still pretty queer imho. They were visibly upset. Dad and I laughed at them. MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

blech, life sucks.

yahoo keeps withholding your comments and myspace won't let me message you. I SHAKE MY FIST AT THE INTERNETS.

they probably hadn't read the book. or looked into it. THE MOVIES NEVER CHANGE THINGS. duh.

blech indeed.

I've been not trusting yahoo recently to deliver. That or my hopes for new emails greatly out paces the rate at which I recieve them. Such a shame my internets is too wobbly for AIM. I'm really wound up and don't think I'm going to bed any time soon.

yahoo seems to have decided lj-mail belongs in the bulk box, at whatever time they decide to place them there.

hope you got some rest. i'm at work all day and the only chat program i seem to be able to pull off here is okcupid's.

I got a bit of sleep, but not very restful sleep. I'll sleep in the car, I guess. My dad is driving.
Isn't okcupid a dating site?

if you want to avoid the mens, just say you're a straight man in the profile. my name's the same, though i won't be on for a little bit.

my phone does the text thing.

I'm such teh n00b. Actually, more like a player hater. Anyway, I thought that was for AIM info or something. I didn't think much about it, but what little thoughts were thunk were along those lines. Myspace never tells me when people are actually online anyway, though.

i don't know how to tell you how to get myspace to tell you when people are on. my myspace tells me when someone's online by flashing a little blinkie "i'm online" on a person's page and/or by their picture on my "top 8" list (and the rest of that friends page).

yeah. i have to go and keep being a bad old meanine now so i can leave work.

I mean that I've been actively exchanging myspace messages with people and the little radio tower doesn't blink for me, or appear at all. It's super annoying.
