this means i avoided what would have easily been a mentally masochistic endeavor that would have left me depress-ed for days.

Totally on topic, I just read the pre-speech press release. Don't have broadcast TV, and don't really feel like reading bullshit. Just felt like making a mockery of the juiciest bits.

But a hopeful society? Since when does he get off cribbing Jimmy Carter and FDR?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Or for that matter, his "war on terror" conducting not unlike Johnson's "war on poverty" and Clintons "war on drugs"....
