I've been talking to your friend [livejournal.com profile] breinf on AIM.

Let this be where I apologize for my sarcasm.

meganfphx: well, she and i tend to be very sarcastic as well
Ian aka EEEN: Yeah, we'd all probably get along on another day/topic or whatever.
meganfphx: i think so

I made my vote accordingly to what my conclusion has come too.

i obviously chose "Only if the baby father approves. It's his child, too" As I'm sure you knew I would, but I really wanted to choose that one and "only if she wants it"... while I think it's important to talk to the baby daddy, if the fucker isn't getting it, sometimes you just have to vacuum the little fucktard out behind his back. but I think with things like this it's really important to have an open dialogue about it etc... but i'm weird like that.

if he's not getting it, and she does it anyway, then she doesn't have his approval.

and if he's slutting around, and having a one-night stand, does he still deserve a say?

alright, he doesn't always have to approve per-se, but I think there needs to be some type of dialogue between the two people involved, and if he is having one-night stands, slutting, etc, and the woman knows who he is etc, then I think she should let him know. I know that most people will probably disagree with me,but, alas, this is my stance. I really think that there should be some form of dialogue in all sitatations where it's possible, not involving abuse of some type.

Ultimately it comes down to her choice. But I would feel bad if my wife didn't at least lemme know what was going down.

exactly... i didn't say she needs to get a form of consent from the guy, just, ideally, there should be some form of dialogue... again, this is ideally, and not realistically...

i told you were the idealist.

yeah, but the question asks when it should be allowed.

clicking that she should have the guy's consent lends the impression that you think that she needs his consent in order for the abortion to be allowed.
