on pluto and so-called aliens
Sep. 2nd, 2006 11:57 pmfor quite some time now, pluto has been an 'on-again-off-again-planet'. apparently, it's back to being on the 'maybe not a planet' list*. there are folks protesting this in New Mexico**
for the record, pluto is also scorpio's ruling planet***. which all kinda makes sense since so much else with me is frequently ill so poorly defined.
but as much as i might agree with the protests, i'm more pissed that the us government (and many others) insist on using the term "alien" to refer to people. i mean, i could list any of a number of very real and very serious reasons why the term is just, well, literally dehumanizing.... but if you (and by "you", i'm probably not referring to anyone on my f-list) aren't going to care about that, then what about have to admit to the arrest of '15 aliens in roswell, nm'****? i mean, seriously...
