jadedjade : the package has arrived and is ready for pending activity.
thinlikestick : according to my pickle place, the Food Network tm will be filming there at some point in time on sunday. apparently, they have "The Best (fried) Pickles"* in nyc. thus far, they are the only fried pickle place i'm aware of, but i don't get around as much as i'd like. point being, anyway, my fried pickles simply must be better than yours. or something.
allinwonderland &
kaygigi i feel your pain. i do. kick some mouse ass for me and all humankind.
[those with ties to mn]: i'll be coming round your mountain-way the second weekend in may. i haven't yet explored ticket options, but midwest is always my preferred airline, and there may or may not be a milwaukee stop and the only stop i know FOR SURE is duluth, but there'll probably be squeezed in time in minneapolis / the mega-mall with the nieces and nephews.
*confidential to everyone else, yes, i did just say FRIED PICKLES.

if by *deep fried pickles*, you mean pickles dipped in beer batter and fried in a vat of bubbly oil-ness, they are, in fact, *deep fried pickles*. i'm of a mind to camp out at the henry street ale house in fabulous brooklyn, so you're welcome to join in the chance for fame.
i think mice are better roasted on a stick over an open flame.

Anyway, yes, roasted is good, but have you ever seen a mouse squished by a hiking boot worn by me? That was particularly satisfying, though nearly puke inducing..

Date: 2006-03-10 03:44 pm (UTC)I guess it just proves the old (Food Network) addage: everything tastes better deep fried. Except deep fried Twinkies at a fish and chips joint in Reading, England: it just tasted like fish and chips (use different oil, cheap bastards!).
