Michael Moore considers Katrina movie

15.09.05

Controversial director Michael Moore is considering making a movie about the Government lapses that surrounded Hurricane Katrina.

Moore is reported to have said the issue "has all the elements that made Fahrenheit 9/11 such a powerful film ... the political outrage, the human suffering and the incredible footage".

Moore has already lashed out at the way the Government handled the disaster, posting a scathing critique on his website.

It's nice to see that "human suffering" can at least help Moore's career.

I was already preparing for a depressed/cranky nap. I need it even more now.

there was a point... once upon a time... when he was not an asshat.

but now... he just needs to go to a galaxy far, far away.

:(

If only there were political outrage and incredible footage to accompany my human suffering - Moore might be able to come up with a short film.

Have you seen his website (http://www.michaelmoore.com/) lately? There's a large picture on the homepage.... You'll know exactly what I'm talking about and why I'm bothered when you see it.

this is (currently) an unlocked post. don't go saying such things to give the man any ideas. you know your human suffering levels are the stuff of his wet dreams.

The people in his documentaries don't receive royalties, do they? Even if they're in his blockbusters?

I'd demand cash if he directly included me in any of his human suffering.

His show was funny. And he's good mindless entertainment for those of us already on the cynical left. And on the upside, some people have converted to liberalism in the aftermath of his movies. And I wouldn't mind a Katrina documentary if and only if he wasn't in it. But he will be. :(

oh my god, is that jesus in your icon? ...i didn't realize how funny that question reads until now.

i was sorta hoping corpse bride would be a masterpiece of some sort. i think i'd still like to see it.

hmmm...michael moore. i've got mixed views but he does do a really good job of getting people emotionally charged, which is kind of what we need right now.

it is, indeed, jesus.
i love having near-limitless iconage.

mm does have a tendency to get people charged,,, i admit that,,, but i wish he wouldn't be such a pure dumb ass in the process. it's not necessary.
