as of the date and time of the start of this entry, because of the current iraq war alone $116,786,868,656 has been spent.
that's BILLIONS (in the u.s., anyway)
personally, i can't help but think, what the hell does it mean?
it means that 39,695 subsidized homes in new york city weren't built.
it means 1,668 teachers in minneapolis-st. paul and 164,144 teachers in texas weren't hired. it means 18,839 children won't be able to attend preschools in milwaukee, 764,986 others won't have the chance in florida, either..
let's see, ...that's also 58, 841 scholarships to the state schoosl that aren't available in Maryland and 123, 800 scholarships lost in Onip..
601,367 children could have been immunized in Arizona and 924, 547 more could have gotten their shots in Colorado
we could have funded the WORLD WIDE aids epidemic for 11 years.
global hunger efforts, which we never seem to have funding for, would have had funding for 4 years.

i really want to release some agression.
the concept of guns doesn't work for me.
what i still want to do is want play oregon trail and kill off little boy bush, again. and again. and again.
rattle snake bite. dyptheria. malnurourishment. band of robbers. however i can pull it off; i want to do it.
maybe i'm just a tad bit morbid.

maybe i should just go see the damn reagan body and see what happens when i try to kick the coffin.
i really do want to go see it though.

You know......I despise debating politics on here. However you are a sad sad individual. We still have troops in Germany after WWII ( Ask Zosia, she can attest to that ) Bosnia, Ethopia....thanks to Clinton. Iraq was a bigger threat than either of those two. America and the world are better off for what we did. And the eagerness to get the troops out?!? I don't hear that cry for Germany, Bosnia, or the countless other places we are in. Oh to be as shelterd and jaded as you. Potentially how many lives were saved. Ours? Theirs? And if that money wasn't spent on Iraq it probably would have gone to all of that. Get your head out of your ass. Stop this partisan bullshit. Bush is by no means a good conservative even I can admit to that. But seriously......

I am so sad that I didn't read this sooner. I would have encouraged you to live your dreams and kick away. After all your trash talk you should put your $ where your mouth is. How many $ are going to be spent going to all those causes you mentioned? I'll bet if you combined all the aid work $ they would far exceed the "war" ones. I don't think you can really compair them though. Arn't you living off of donations to a charity you work for? Stop excepting them. Or use your many degrees to get filthy rich and do something about it. GOD you with real power, Kinda scary.
