more mail bags
while i was away, mail collected:
i'm not sure how nor why, but my pregnancy place seems to think i should be wanting to make babies. they think this so much that they will give me a "free pregnancy test and sonogram". they will also give me free ritz carlton spa massages. and, once i am in hypothetical labor, an ambulette from my door to the hospital. plus, if i deliver on the first of the month, i can win a $500 baby gap gift certificate. how do i know all this? they've sent me post cards on more than one occasion. and, while i love getting mail that doesn't ask me for money, i'm not sure this qualifies. oh, the beauty of direct marketing!
russ feingold* also sent me a letter. from middleton, wi to brooklyn, ny, he not only asks for money, but also to send back two form letters: one to the prez and one to the democrats.
to little boy bush, the letter goes: (Statement of Principle to George W. Bush)
I am strongly opposed to your decision to authorize an illegal program to spy on American citizens. It is my belief that you have broken the law, you hav deliberately misled Congress, and you have not been truthfulto the American people. I believe the President of the Uinted State smust be held accountable to the same laws as the rest of us.I call on you to take full responsiblity for your illegal conduct.
and another to his own party: (Statement of Principle to the Democratic Party)
I am disappointed that the Democratic Party is not takinga strongenough stand against the outrages of the Bush Administration. It is my belief that the only way to win this November and take back the White House in 2008 is to confront President Bush's dishonesty and illegal conduct. I believe the President has broken the law, has not been truthful, and must be held accountable to the same laws as the rest of us. I call upon the Democratic Party to stand up against the abuses of George W. Bush. ,
the thing about feingold, which i've never actually investigated to verify, so consider this gossip, once upon a time when i was attending the fundie god high school, i was told that he had voted to keep "partial birth abortions" legal, but then, after the fact, attempted to go to The Official Record Books, and changes his vote.
even at the time when i was waflley-on-to-against the whole third trimester abortion concept, going back to change the record of one's vote is just...blah.
still, he has a more liberal record than most. and started from a non-MONEY background. also, his early campaign ads are classic... if i remember correctly, done by the same folks who made jesse ventura's, but now i'm digressing.
but he says *nothing* about human rights, including those related to the homos, reproduction, racism, immigration in his letter.... the websit touts marriage equality and if they have strong stances on anything else, that requires work to find.....
also, i got more address labels, and envelope stikcers, too. yay for mailing fun! and a "keep abortion legal"sticker, if anyone wants it, let me know.
*wi state senator....mailing "not printed or mailed at tax payer expense"... wrting on behalf of the progressive patriots fund.
