i know i just posted, and this isn't to put down death or suicide as being something other than serious, but heath ledger's untimely demise is not the only thing happening in the world today.
He's around our age, he was a somewhat relatable figure and of our generation. It was indeed shocking. I know there are other things going on - I debated in my head whether or not to post it - but it was something that consumed me yesterday and I had the time to blog about it, so I did. I think we are all aware there are other things going on... I admit celebrity gossip is a vice of mine, but it is certainly not *all* I blog about.
the sheer volume of ledger-related posts astounded me. it wasn't any one person making a post. it was the vast majority of posts coming up as i went through.
i thought i had made a post about jonathan brandis's suicide in 03. i looked back and hadn't. apparently i only thought about doing so. (or i did, and did so more than a week after the fact since that's when i stopped looking.) i "cared" more about brandis than i ever did about ledger, so i do get the relatability thing.

it's still annoying that it's the hottest thing to hit my f-list since the russians took over.
